Demo-boats workshops and international e-mobility conference in Klaipeda & Rusne (Lithuania)
Major objective of the event was to provide the producers and suppliers of the solutions for electric water mobility, with a networking opportunity and exchange experience concerning boat renovation and conversion into electric propulsion.
First day of the event included 9 presentations of the companies from Lithuania and Poland, which shared their stories, structure of the companies, offered products and specific experience related to development of the boats with electric propulsion. Besides the boat building companies (POPA boat, CreeYacht, Legenrich, UAB VM Production), offering small recreational boats or restoration services, the presentations were delivered by the companies specialized in electric drives (E-Tech) and remote inspection of the electric propulsion systems (NautiTronix).
In the second part of the day, the Green Boat company (LT) presented the experience concerning retrofitting of an old rescue boat, conversion of the propulsion into electric and the final conversion into recreational boat.
Second day of the event took place at Rusne Island, at the area of Nemunas Delta Regional Park, where the meeting was hosted by Traditional and Historical Ships’ Association Lithuania. Entire day has been dedicated to the building and restoration of the traditional wooden boats and application of the innovative electrical systems. Presentations were delivered by the host of the meeting, Bootswerft Freest (Germany), Memel Werfte (Lithuania), Vytine (Lithuania). Second part of the day was dedicated to the site visit of the wooden boats’ workshop and sailing, which became an excellent opportunity for further networking and discussions.
